Before firing, the pottery is delicately hand-polished using smooth river stones-a time-tested burnishing technique that compresses the clay particles together, providing a lustrous sheen that does not rely on chemical glazes.
Once polished, master artisans carefully etch the burnished surface using fine hand tools creating breathtaking patterns inspired by nature, including intricate fish scales, lush flora, geometric motifs, and traditional iconography.
